I found another great site for adolscent reading strategies. I challenge you to try one strategy before our next meeting. Be prepared to discuss it at the meeting or write about it on the discussion board.

This article is wonderful. Gives a bigger picture of why kids can't read.

If you have a lower functioning class, try using graphic novels to get them interested in reading. Here is a list of 100 graphic novels. The following article supports the use of the graphic novel in the high school classroom, especially with struggling readers.
